Parkworks designed and built California’s largest fully automatic parking system (APS), located at Lume. The system features 470 automated stalls, providing streamlined and convenient parking for residents.
Lume, a 440-unit apartment community in Menlo Park, was developed by Greystar and designed by Heller Manus and BDE Architecture. Completed in 2024, the project earned LEED Gold certification for its commitment to sustainable design. The APS was designed by Parkworks in collaboration with our Swiss partner, Sotefin. Installation was carried out by the Parkworks team.
Residents simply drop their vehicles off at designated entry bays, where robotic machinery efficiently stores and retrieves cars. A defining innovation of the system is Parkworks’ proprietary robotic EV charging arm, which automatically rotates and positions vehicles for
efficient, on-demand charging. Residents can manage parking and charging through a dedicated Parkworks app, allowing them to request their vehicle, monitor retrieval times, and schedule charging sessions.
This seamless integration of advanced automation and sustainable technology supports high-density urban living, enhancing convenience while minimizing the development’s environmental footprint.
