Parkworks installed lift-and-slide and slider systems to enhance parking efficiency for this landmark affordable housing project.
Developed by Mercy Housing California and Related California, the buildings offer 170 affordable units and is the largest affordable housing project west of the Mississippi.
Project specifics.
To support both Nia and its partner building Amani, Parkworks designed two styles of system for this project, a 3-high lift-and-slide system with a pit and a series of simple sliders creating 108 parking spaces for tenants.
While the project has conventional parking the inclusion of mechanical systems has increased parking capacity and provided safe and convenient parking for residents of the two buildings.
Nia and Amani are both a part of the HOPE SF revitalization in San Francisco, CA.
