Affordable Housing
Nia is part of the Sunnydale HOPE SF initiative, the largest public housing redevelopment West of the Mississippi, replacing decades-old, deteriorating housing in a long-underserved corner of the city. The 5-story, 90-unit affordable housing building serves an area where parking is already scarce, making every space critical for residents who depend on it.
Challenge
Fitting sufficient shared parking capacity across two adjacent buildings with differing structural, spatial, and user constraints.
Solution
A hybrid approach deploying two mechanical parking systems types (sliders and lift-and-slide), tailored to the unique conditions of the building environment.
Result
133 parking spaces provided across both buildings using a combination of slider and lift-and-slide systems, maximizing capacity without requiring a larger or taller structure.

Luxury Apartments
Felix is a luxury apartment community located in the heart of Downtown Santa Rosa, just steps from Old Courthouse Square, local breweries, restaurants, and the broader Sonoma County wine country. Situated on a dense urban site in one of the Bay Area's most walkable neighborhoods, the building's limited footprint left minimal space available for parking, making it a significant challenge to provide adequate capacity without expanding the structure's footprint or height.
Challenge
A dense downtown site with only 10,000 sq ft of available garage footprint was far too constrained to meet resident parking demand through a conventional approach.
Solution
A 3-high, 2-deep mechanical parking system to maximize the use of square feet of available garage space.
Result
3x the parking capacity of a conventional layout, achieving just 105 sq ft per car compared to the typical 350 sq ft.

Luxury Condominiums
Spire is a 41-story luxury condominium tower in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood, home to 370 residences on a distinctive triangular lot surrounded by busy streets on all three sides. The site's geometry, while a visual asset for panoramic views, posed a serious parking challenge: the irregular footprint made conventional parking impossible.
Challenge
A small triangular footprint with no viable path for conventional parking or ramps.
Solution
A fully automated parking system with entry bays positioned at each apex of the triangle, paired with a shuttle system to maximize coverage across all underground levels.
Result
266 fully automated spaces across 9 levels of underground parking. Creatively engineered for 100% redundancy, residents always have access to their vehicles.

Single-Family Home
Park Street is a San Francisco urban row house facing one of the city's most constrained parking realities, a single-vehicle garage entry with no room to widen access. Despite having enough interior garage space for two cars, the homeowner had no practical way to fully utilize it, a common frustration in San Francisco's dense residential neighborhoods.
Challenge
A single-vehicle garage entry with interior space for two cars but no way to access both without structural changes to the home.
Solution
A slider system that shifts one vehicle laterally, allowing two cars to be stored and retrieved through a single access point.
Result
The homeowner can now comfortably park two vehicles in their garage, something that simply wasn't possible before.
Lumina project image
San Francisco, CA
Luxury, High-rise Condominium Complex
With 656 luxury condominiums spread across two towers in San Francisco's dense South Beach neighborhood, Lumina faced a significant parking challenge: delivering enough capacity to serve this residential development within a tightly constrained below-grade footprint and without compromising the building's design or resident experience.
Challenge
Limited parking capacity in the high density urban downtown of San Francisco.
Solution
Valet-operated mechanical stackers deployed on the lowest parking level, seamlessly integrated with the building's existing 24-hour valet operations.
Result
151 stackers to yield 302 spaces on the lowest of 3 parking levels account for 40% of total garage capacity, maximizing available parking space without adding height or footprint.
